I am currently updating my core qualifications in Computerised Accounts (SAGE), Maths, English and Auto-CAD to maintain a competitive edge in the workplace. I have also recently undertaken a course of study from home as an Independent Retail Contractor through the Auction Listing Marketing Agency to maximise my transferable skills from the Defence Industry, recognising Digital/Affiliate marketing to be the way forward.

I have nineteen years post RN experience in defence and public services industry with a comprehensive track record in Communications, Radar, Sonar, Electronic Warfare, IT Systems, Database Development, BID Co-ordination, Marketing, ARM, Ship Safety, Hazard and Risk Analysis, Help Desk Support, Faults, Incidents and Accidents.

I am ex-navy with eight years proven experience in Royal Navy Strategic and Tactical Communications.

Ministry of Defence Qualified in Ship Safety Management. Royal Navy trained in all aspects of Radio Communications.

An experienced Supervisor and Project Support specialist with a 'can do' approach to business, able to delegate and when necessary lead by example.

Microsoft Office Super User, Database Developer, familiar with Java and fully conversant with Open Office.

Project Support Engineer for Naval Trainers and Operational Targets
June 2004 - April 2009 (4 years 10 months)

Achievements:

  • Designed, developed and implemented the Weymouth Business Management System for Naval Trainers to incorporate Faults, Incidents, Configuration Control, Document Management to service and support 26 Naval Trainers and 2 Operational Targets
  • Designed document management templates to include a re-build of internal electronic media and an AR&M analysis tracking method for trainers including statistical reporting for Project Management.
  • Wrote the Operator and Maintenance Manual for the Fleetwork Trainer together with its Command and Communications System.
  • Technical review of Ship Safety Case for S.E.A.
  • Wrote the MCTS Marketing proposal for naval trainers which contributed to BID award for MCTS and was later implemented in the AR&M Plan for the successful award of 4 Waterfront Learning Trainers
  • Successfully coordinated BID's utilising MoD selected software tool, collating relevant inputs from BID team members concluding the proposal which lead to BID award for the Marine Diesel Engine contract.
